A Splendid Day in Salisbury!

On Thursday 3rd December St Nicholas had its second Church trip out of the year.

If you have been following us, you may know that our first one took us to Chichester Cathedral and was attended by 20 people. This time round, we almost managed to fill the bus with 30 on a day to Salisbury Christmas market.

The weather that day held out for us right up until we got back on the coach for our return trip home and many of us managed to achieve at least some of our Christmas shopping with an added bonus of feeling nice from supporting local arts and crafts and local businesses at the atmospheric City market.

Some of us also took time out to take a tour around the magnificent Cathedral and to see the Magna Carta.

All in all a splendid day was had by all with no mishaps with exception to the ‘older ladies’ (and supposedly wiser) who on returning earlier than the arranged time, realised after a while, that they had been waiting in the wrong carpark! Fortunately no bodies were lost or left behind.

With many thanks once again to Brian our Coach driver for the day and Jeff Sole for supplying our transport.

For future Church Trips Out, please keep an eye out for next years notices.
